This weeks featured soap is Grace, a certified Human Remains Detection dog with Michigan Search and Rescue. Grace, a beautiful Belgian Tervuren is thirteen years old.

Grace started her career in SAR as an Air Scent/Wilderness dog and changed her discipline to HRD which she loves. Grace is also certified with the International Police Working Dogs Assoc and with NASAR. Grace has a nice down for her indication at source and likes a food reward and lots of love.

Grace is scented with one of our favorite scents, Flannel Sheets. This scent is similar to linen and cotton, as fresh as sheets drying in the sunshine. Perfect for Grace as she mellows with age and enjoys some time in the sun to relax.

Soap of the week featuring a Michigan Search and Rescue Dog is Swift Run's Lacey Rizzoli who goes by "Rizzy".

Rizzy was a United Doberman Club Puppy Project dog. This program was set up for working dogs and dog handlers who wanted to work with a high quality pup from good genetic backgrounds and pedigrees. Rizzy was donated to her handler via Swift Run Dobermans, a much appreciated gift. You can read more about this project here: uniteddobermanclub.com/manuals/AdminManualChapter11.pdf

Rizzy is one of those high drive, high energy pups! She is always on the go and ready for adventure. Rizzy is training as a Human Remains Detection dog with Michigan Search and Rescue as well as a Disaster Recovery dog with the Michigan Task Force. The training keeps both the dog and the handler busy!

Rizzy's soap is pink as she is a petite doberman at 56 pounds and very feminine, but don't let that fool you! She is tough! The scent is Pink Sugar, a fragrance blend that reminds me of cotton cotton, raspberries and a touch of floral. The suppliers adds: playful, mischievous, romantic, a fragrance for the skin, for the body, for the heart, for the nose, for the soul. It suits little Rizzy perfectly.

This week's featured Michigan Search and Rescue soap is named after "Beckett". Beckett is a fun and happy Golden Retriever. She and her handler Kate joined the team in 2013.  If you are familiar with the TV show "Castle" then you will recognize the character of Detective Beckett that this golden is named after.

Beckett and her handler recently certified in Air Scent/Wilderness work. Way to go team!

Beckett's soap is scented with a summer-like blend of lime and coconut and not too sweet. The supplier says it will make you want to dance... perfect for a happy golden who does like to wiggle!
